A capsule wardrobe with vintage means less stuff and better style

Capsule wardrobe, fewer pieces, more combinations. How to incorporate vintage into it and save money and closet space.

A capsule wardrobe is a wardrobe where every piece works with every other piece. The result: you get dressed quickly in the morning, you always have something to wear and you don't buy things that then hang with a tag. Vintage pieces are ideal for the capsule approach, they are time-tested and materially above average.

The basis of a capsule wardrobe 10-15 pieces that cover 80% of occasions. Neutral colors (white, black, grey, navy, camel) form the basis, with one or two more distinctive vintage pieces. Example for women: white t-shirt, black straight pants, jeans, midi skirt, rollneck, vintage leather jacket, vintage

wool coat, shirt, two pairs of shoes. 10 pieces, dozens of combinations.

Where vintage adds value A vintage piece in a capsule wardrobe must be either neutral and timeless (camel wool coat, black leather blazer) or consciously expressive (biker jacket, which is the hero of every outfit). In the middle, "somewhat interesting", there are pieces that don't fit anywhere and just take up space.

How to get started First, throw away what you hate or don't wear. Then map the holes, what you're missing, not what you want extra. And only then shop, consciously and specifically. At the store, we will be happy to help you identify what exactly is missing from your wardrobe, come with an overview of what you have and we will advise.
